Welcome to Plain-O Helpers!
Plain-O Helpers (POH) is a faith-based handyman program of seniors helping other seniors with minor home maintenance and repairs.We target seniors, age 60 and older, and disabled clients with a Plano address or residing in the Plano Independent School District. The program provides maintenance and repair services for the home, with a key focus on safety, security, and health issues.
Our volunteers work on Friday mornings from 9:00 AM (if our 8:30 meeting is short, can be a little before 9:00) to noon. Typical jobs are an hour or less. Each team of at least two volunteers will visit multiple clients during the same morning. Plain-O Helpers members must all pass background checks before becoming a member.
There is no charge for the help we provide. Donations are welcome to offset cost of materials and to help others who are less fortunate.
