Assistive Devices Center offers special telephones at no cost to those with hearing loss and other disabilities through the Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program.  Other hearing services also available.

Collin Co Committee on Aging:

Assists citizens age 60 and older with meals, transportation (including CCART), caregiver support, information and referral, telephone reassurance options for independent living and outreach.  Community meals served at the senior center in Plano. Includes Meals on Wheels, 972-562-6996 ext 123.

Provides free legal assistance to low income persons in non-criminal civil law matters, social security claims, wills.

Health screenings and wellness services to those 55 and over.  Education about medications, diabetes, blood pressure checks, caregiver and Alzheimer’s support groups, friendly visitors to homebound, free lending of durable medical equipment such as wheel chairs, walkers, etc.
